Description

Probe-Rite PS44D Prober with Bausch & Lomb Stereo Zoom 7x Binocular Head for sale

This PS44 D Series Prober by Probe-Rite is in fair condition and is being offered as a parts/repair As-Is. Attached to this Probe Rite PS44 Semiconductor Prober is a Probe-Rite PAS-10 Probe Head Actuation System and Bausch & Lomb 7x Stereo Zoom Binocular Microscope Head. Actual item shown. Sold as pictured.

Included:

  • (1) Probe-Rite PS44D Series Prober
  • (1) Bausch & Lomb 7x Stereo Zoom Binocular Microscope Head without eyepieces.
  • (1) Probe-Rite PAS-10 Probe Head Actuation System, 0-15 psi gauge, 0-30 Hg vacuum gauge, .005 scale.

This is not a fully operational probe station. The X stage has some ball bearings missing but can still be manually operated. The microscope head illuminator has some minor housing damage (see image.) An external vacuum pump is needed to operate this system. There is no power source for the microscope lamp module; lamp is installed but untested. Vertical heigh platform is operational.

Evaluation:

Applied power to the probe and observed the green power lamp light. Connected a vacuum and pressure air source to the equipment and observed the operation of the various controls. Air pressure gauge is operational. The vacuum control puck mounted on the X stage does operate when the on and off buttons are pressed. Solenoid operation could be heard when the buttons were pressed. There is an O ring seal on the base of the lower platform that is not fully operational. This is due to the linear bearing strips that are missing and not providing a tight seal to the X translation stage. Internal components in the electro-mechanical section look good.
