The robust POLAR 3-Side Trimmer, designed for automated trimming of perfect-bound or saddle-stitched products, is also network-ready. Unlike traditional three-knife trimmers, it features a single knife and utilizes a gripper system to position the product accurately for cutting. The hydraulic cutting mechanism allows for adjustable knife timing in the lower dead end to suit different materials, ensuring both precision and gentle handling. With a wide pressure range, the clamping pressure can be finely adjusted to match the cutting material perfectly. Enhanced productivity is achieved by stacking multiple products for simultaneous cutting. Convenient external access to the cutting waste bin simplifies disposal. Operating the machine is user-friendly with an ergonomically positioned 18.5’’ touch-screen display. Recurring cutting sequences can be stored and modified as needed, and integration into digital workflows allows for direct transfer of cutting data. For seamless automation, the machine can be equipped with a barcode reader to initiate cutting programs automatically, minimizing setup time.
