The Digital Embellishment Unit (DEU) employs UV inkjet technology to perform inline coating digitally, enabling the application of matte, gloss, and tactile spot coating effects on the substrate web in different thicknesses.

It can be achieved with the Digital Embellishment Unit. This unit is capable of producing gloss and matte spot coatings, as well as tactile relief effects, all in a single pass using atmospheric UV inkjet coatings. It supports coating volumes up to 100 gsm with a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi (native/physical).

Efficiency

Efficiency is enhanced when utilizing this DEU, as customers experience reduced setup times and minimized cleaning efforts compared to conventional solutions. With digital technology, there are no extra costs associated with tools, including tool production and management.

In a single pass

The unit can apply various matte, gloss, and tactile effects simultaneously, effectively replacing up to three conventional printing stations and tripling the benefits. The resulting reduction in web path length also contributes to additional waste reduction.
